Good Practice Award!
Although we were allowed by the British Dental Association to unveil the plaque of the Good Practice Award on the front of our building earlier in the year, 12 December 2007 actually marked the official presentation by the President of the Association, Dr. Josef Rich OBE at the BDA headquarters in London.

What a lovely surprise it was to all at St Mary Street Dental Practice to be the recipient of this much sought after award by the British Dental Association. Having opened the doors to our new practice only 10 months previously, this surely came not only as a surprise but also as an extra reward to our staff for their hard work and for going that extra mile to make this practice being recognized in such a distinctive way.
Councilor Mrs. Sandra Oakes unveiling our Good Practice Plaque. She said she was delighted to be able to explore the inside of the newly restored grade 2 listed building. She did not mind "testing" the comfortable dental chair and stayed to celebrate with us our 1st anniversary.
First Anniversary
8th August was our first anniversary. This coincided with celebrating the Good Practice Award and was well attended. Thank you so much to everyone that turned up and also for the flowers, wine and so many cards received to wish us well.
Mrs. Beryl Jones was our first patient
Mr. Sweetlove receives a bottle of champagne from Mrs. Tromp. He was our first male Patient.
We visit a school.
Seagry Primary School was this time the focus of our efforts to make students aware of the benefits of a healthy mouth during the National Smile Month, launched in conjunction with the British Dental Health Foundation. Emphasis was put on the "two minutes twice a day" concept and was well received by teacher and student. An exciting brushing competition was held and students were also tested for their general knowledge about what is going on in and around their mouths.
Charlie receiving 'Albert' the clock as his prize.
The poster competition was won by Hannah and Imogen took the second prize. Charlie was able to brush for exactly two minutes and thus won himself one of the favorite prizes - Albert, the "two minute" Clock.
These are the two posters that took 1st and 2nd prize
